Studio apartment in the LCD Diplomat in a modern style

The apartment for the design project which customers turned to us is located in the historical center of St. Petersburg - a convenient place for an active young couple to live. It was decided to maintain the interior of the apartment in a modern style with Scandinavian elements: natural materials, fabrics, wallpapers for painting and ceramic granite are used here.
The main planning decision in this project was to combine the kitchen and living room, as well as creating the most functional space for a young couple to live.
Planning:

Table as an element of zoning

The organization of the kitchen-living room requires a special approach in order for the space to be as comfortable and functional as possible. Here, it was decided to make a dining area in the continuation of the kitchen set, so the table itself turned out to be a non-standard height - more often such tables are called bar tables.
In this case, the table has many functions: first of all it separates the kitchen area from the living room, and can also be used as an additional cooking place. The table top is made of wood of a deep dark color, which is combined with the facades of the kitchen and gives the status to the whole room.

Floor convectors

The choice of planning fell on the one where the wall was demolished between the kitchen and the loggia: thus the kitchen space increased, where the TV area and the comfortable sofa were comfortably accommodated.
Demolition of the wall between the loggia and the room involves the transfer of radiators, most often install vertical radiators on the wall in the room. Here it was decided to install floor convectors, which are hidden heating systems. Such convectors provide uniform heating of the air while not cluttering the space.

Track lighting

The main lighting in the apartment is provided by track lights from the Canyon series, which, due to the absence of the frame, are mounted in the ceiling without visible joints.

The main difference between such lamps is an adjustable base and the ability to adjust the position of lamps within the track. In the track system, you can install duct outputs of air conditioners and fire sensors.

The mechanism of smooth facades

The Scandinavian style involves the minimization of all the details, so the kitchen in this project is made with smooth facades without handles. The mechanisms of such a kitchen are easy to use, but you need to get used to them, because instead of simply opening the door by the handle, you must first click on the facade and then open the door.
This design is built into everyday life, filling it with comfort and pleasant emotions. Also, the facades are in harmony with the cabinet in the living room, which emphasizes the unity of the apartment’s style and the smooth transition from the kitchen.

Hanger in the hallway

In the hallway at the request of customers an open storage system was made for outerwear. This system is a hanger custom-made by ArtStyle studio in St. Petersburg.
It is a wooden panel with sliding parts, which eventually become hooks for clothes and each of them can withstand weight up to 3.5 kg. The hanger is made of dark wood and corresponds to the general style of the apartment.

Headboard

Elements of the Scandinavian style in the bedroom can be traced both in the furniture and with the decoration of the walls. Soft, sleek bed forms and fitted cupboards without handles are typical of the overall style of the project.
We also want to draw your attention to the original wall in the headboards of the bed made of wooden panels with light, the shape of which at the same time creates dynamics and is a functional accessory that can be used as an evening light in the bedroom.
